exploring our connection to trees, herbs and flowers, helping us to open up to the wonders, benefits and gifts of nature

Like many children, as a child I was able to connect deeply and joyously with the wonders of nature. It carried a magic and awe that would allow me to open up my imagination, my curiosity, and I would spend countless hours creating games, stories, characters, mud-art and magic recipes, I held within a deep inner connection that would speak to me and guide me.
Somehow, we ‘inevitably’ begin to separate ourselves from this inner joy as we ‘grow up’.
And yet something deep within, always remains, silently, patiently waiting for an opportunity within us to return and re-connect.
Creative Nature Connections offers this opportunity
These guided sessions are a relaxed and simple introduction to how we can find through creativity and mindful awareness, our connection back to nature. We explore how we can tap in to plants and their flowers so we may receive their beneficial properties.
With this simple skill in hand and regular practice in your own time – you will be able to develop your personal, unique and fun way to tap in to all aspects of nature such as plants, trees, rocks, shells, animals and birds.
The Bird Hide – Abinger Common, RH5
These sessions are held in the garden room at the bottom of our cottage garden. I am a keen gardener so there are numerous shrubs, herbs, plants and flowers waiting to meet you and inspire you.
I have also created a small sacred herb garden, that is held within a sacred geometric form.
Booking is essential via the booking site linked below. Look for *Creative Nature Connection* as I offer a number of sessions at the Bird Hide. I am in the process of adding more dates for the summer months.

In many ways my childhood connection with nature never truly subsided. I trained in Practical Habitat Management at Merrist Wood College, Guildford, 25 years ago. Since then I have taken courses in various areas of gardening, permaculture, herbology and other similar topics of interest.
In 2011, I hit rockbottom, an all time low in my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Often termed a ‘dark night of the soul’, this is a calling from within that simply will not be ignored. Our Soul has a way of calling us home, usually resorting to life changing events or extreme illness in order to get our attention. I had a choice, a pathway of pharmaceutical drugs that I would most likely still be dependant upon today or follow natures path back inwards. I chose the latter.
This is a path of self enquiry, of personal cultivation that takes us within, to an awareness of our inner world – our self talk, habits, beliefs, life experiences, unresolved illness and injuries, our hurts, our rage, our loss, our grief. Yes, it can sometimes be a messy process.
Alongside the internal and energy healing arts, I chose to study Nature Spirituality with OBOD (The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids – link). Today, I am an initiated Druid and full member, this is many years of training, learning and personal inquiry.
This probably sounds quite extreme to many, however, it provided me with the gentle journey and a deeper connection to nature that I needed in order to truly on a heal physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. My life is now meaningful, sacred and filled with gratitude for the smallest of things. By feeling a part of nature and not separate to it, I am able to find an inner peace that holds me still and steady, no matter what is happening in the outside world. This journey of healing and growing still continues as I reach deeper and deeper into the realms of awareness that Mother Nature offers.
This is how The Path of the Tranquil Heart came to life under my company name Internity (which means ‘the state of being within’). My home page goes into lots of detail, which you can find here.
Non-Verbal Communication
I wrote a post about how in the future we will be able to communicate through thought forms rather than the limiting nature of direct speech, which you can read here – link
